The Keld is one of Altbergs ‘GFit’ range of boots made specifically for feet which are wider or above average volume. The foot shape is asymmetric with a medium-sized heel, to keep it supported and snug. A wider toe box provides slightly above medium volume and reduces sideways pressure on the large toe. The Vibram sole gives excellent support and torsional resistance for use on rough terrain.
NOTE.
There is a rolling changeover of sole units from the original Vibram Masai version to the Defender Hi-Traction Sole – which offers improved up-hill traction, downhill braking and Slip Resistance: (Shown in product pictures)

*Volume and width of this last is much higher than average, especially around the forefoot. The footshape is asymmetric, and the heel is a medium size, to keep heel support good and snug. Reduced sideways pressure on the large toe, and a wider forefoot with slightly above medium volume.
